Exhibition Poster - featuring the artist from her project: Call Me Lola. In Search of Mother, 2004

20&20: Lens of her Own

ANU Museum of the Jewish People
Tel Aviv, Israel

Through January 2027.

The exhibition features 20 contemporary Jewish female photo-based artists alongside 20 pioneer trailblazers who worked in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Kantor’s work is featured alongside the works of Lore Krüger (1914–2009), a German-Jewish photographer and Nazi resister. Krüger became an icon of emancipated women in the avant-garde movement of the 1930s and '40s. In 1942, she fled to New York with her family after years of displacement across Europe and being held in internment camps. From New York, she returned with her family to Germany in 1946, where she lived for the remainder of her life.
